How does scoring work?

When you repeat a sentence, Shadowtone uses Apple's on-device Speech framework to check which words you said clearly, and on-device pitch analysis to compare your intonation and rhythm with the model recording. Everything runs on your iPhone, so scoring works offline and your voice is never uploaded. Scores are a practice guide, not a formal assessment. For the best results, use a quiet room and hold the phone about 20 cm (8 in) from your mouth.

How do I restore my purchases?

Open Shadowtone, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions › Shadowtone Plus › Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal or trial end date to avoid being charged. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. For refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my recordings?

In Shadowtone, open Settings and tap Delete Recordings. Recordings exist only on your device, so they are deleted permanently. Deleting the app also removes them.

The app can't hear me

Check iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone and Speech Recognition, and make sure Shadowtone is turned on.
