Shadowtone

Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026

Shadowtone: Accent Coach ("Shadowtone", "the app") is made by Deva, an independent developer based in Saigon, Vietnam. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: we do not collect any data.

Audio recordings

When you practice, the app records your voice using your iPhone's microphone. Recordings are analyzed entirely on your device using Apple's Speech framework and on-device pitch analysis. Recordings are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us or to any server we operate. You can delete your recordings at any time in the app's Settings. Deleting the app also removes them.

Speech recognition

Shadowtone requests on-device speech recognition. Recognition is performed on your device and the app does not send your audio to us.

No accounts, analytics, tracking or ads

Shadowtone has no sign-up or account. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that send data to us, no advertising, and no tracking across apps or websites. We do not sell or share personal information.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details. The app checks your subscription status on your device using Apple's StoreKit. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Crash reports Apple may share

If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide anonymized crash reports. These do not include your recordings.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Support emails

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we do not use it for marketing.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
